| G.I. BILL BACKLOG
MUCH LOWER AS VA PLAYS CATCH-UP
Contrary to a report in The Army
Times, the VA's backlog of G.I. Bill claims is going steadily
down.

The VA's backlog of New G.I.
Bill claims is getting much smaller.
The latest Monday Morning
Workload Report show 48,911 claims pending.
This
is down from over 65,000 a few months ago.
And, the number has been
steadily going down over the past few weeks.
You can get the figures for 2010
here ...

And, for 2009 here ...

While 48,911 is still not an
acceptable number, it appears the VA is really playing catch-up on
the G.I. Bill claims.
So, how did we get an article
like the one below?
It appears someone didn't do
their homework.

Veterans Affairs Department is ready for a flood of new claims for
the spring semester.
