On November 4th America made clear its desire

direction. Throughout the last eight years the American people have
experienced economic downturn, increasing unemployment, soaring
energy costs, and a declining international perception of this
 nation.
Yesterday Americans collectively decided to turn the page on the
Bush/McCain era and its failed policies. With President-elect Obama
in office, AFGE is confident that the new Congress will be able to
