WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Senator Daniel K. Akaka (D-HI), Chairman of the Veterans' Affairs Committee, announced that the Committee has scheduled a hearing on President George W. Bush's nomination of Dr. James Peake to be Secretary of Veterans Affairs. The Committee received the President's nomination of Dr. Peake on November 15, 2007.
