ATSUGI HEALTH WOES DETAILED IN NEW WEB SITE --

Many believe the health problems they and their families

suffer are linked to carcinogenic emissions they were

exposed to while on assignment at NAF Atsugi.

The Atsugi Incinerator has worried families living in the area for years.

Is there a cover-up regarding toxic emissions?  That article here...

What about the drinking water?  That article here...

Now, there's a web site to help military families get information about Atsugi.

Here's a link to a recent article about the web site...

You'll find the web site here...

Some information from the home page of the site is printed below.  Be sure to use the site for information you need about health problems at Atsugi.

-------------------------

The information on this site has been provided for all those who were stationed at NAF Atsugi, Japan. The data consists of incinerator Emissions Reports, Health Risks Studies, Risks Communication Guides, Memo, Letters, News Articles, Presentations, Emails and even hand written notes regarding the contaminated air, soil and dust that we and our children were exposed to while we faithfully served our country. This site also contains information on what you can do to help. Please write just one letter. We have the Navy’s attention, together we can make a difference.

We request the Navy be proactive regarding this issue and provide the following recommendations:

Prepare a health survey with the guidance of an Occupational Toxicologist for everyone that was exposed and ensure an epidemiological study is executed without bias intent of results.

Notify all exposed personnel of the health risks associated toxic exposure that was assigned to NAF Atsugi, Japan via the media and individual notification.

Notify and educate all Naval Hospitals, Clinics, Veterans Health Care Centers and Tri-care Network physicians and staff of the toxic chemical exposure at NAF Atsugi, Japan.
