QTC OPENS NEWEST "COMP AND PEN" CLINIC ON BASE AT

FORT BRAGG -- A part of the program is the Benefits Delivery at

Discharge program that serves the newest Veterans before they

leave active duty to get them expeditiously into the VA system.

Former VA Secretary Anthony J. Principi heads a company named QTC.

QTC provides compensation and pension exams for the VA and the military as well as private industry.

Much controversy surrounds QTC, including a contract with the VA that is easily worth over a billion dollars.

Also, there have been many complaints from veterans that QTC examiners are not properly trained and that their exams are shoddy, at best.

Below is a QTC press release (self-serving) about their new "clinic" at Fort Bragg.

QTC Opens Doors to Newest Clinic at Ft. Bragg

DIAMOND BAR, Calif., /PRNewswire/ -- QTC opened the doors of its newest clinic today located on base at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina.

This clinic is operating in conjunction with the Department of Veterans Affairs and will improve delivery of compensation and pension benefits to service members separating from active duty, many of whom have served in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan.

QTC administers Compensation and Pension medical examination for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

A part of that program is the Benefits Delivery at Discharge (BDD) program that serves those newest Veterans before they leave active duty to get them expeditiously into the VA system.

The new, modern clinic at Ft. Bragg, adjacent to the Veterans Service Office, will provide easy access for returning active duty members seeking assistance with filing paperwork for VA benefits as well as providing the convenience of going next door for the examination conducted by QTC.

"As an old Ft. Bragg soldier myself, I am delighted to have QTC located on this great post to serve the men and women who have given so much in service to our nation. Our tag line is 'Quality Examinations for America's Heroes' - and that is just what we intend to give," said QTC's Chief Operating Officer, Dr. James Peake. "This is a big step in improving our level of service to each service member and we are honored to be a part of this new endeavor."

ABOUT QTC - Founded in 1981, QTC is the nation's largest private provider of medical examinations and disability evaluations and a pioneer in the development and implementation of software technology to improve the efficiency of conducting and managing disability evaluations. http://www.qtcm.com/
