$20,000 STOLEN FROM AMERICAN LEGION POST -- Why did the Post is Ashland, Kentucky have this much money on hand?
This is one of those "little" items that caught my attention. It was on the police blotter from Ashland, Kentucky. So, we must ask: Why did the Legion have $20,000 in cash? Why did they keep it overnight instead of depositing it in the bank? What possible reason would there be for keeping that much money on hand? The first thing that comes to mind is payouts for a gambling operation. What? Gambling, you say? Could that be? At the American Legion? I'm shocked!!! Story here...
